Pattern Parser

Upload an existing knitting or crochet PDF, or paste its written instructions. Get steps you can check off, plus materials and gauge where the pattern includes them.

AI should help crafters organize their work. This tool doesn't generate patterns or replace a designer's work or your craft skills.

When you choose “Extract steps,” your PDF or pasted text goes to our server, and the pattern text is processed by Google Gemini. Choosing a file or viewing the sample doesn't send it for processing. Read the privacy policy.

PDFs must contain selectable text and be no larger than 15 MB. Scanned pages and charts alone can't be read here. For long patterns, only the first 60,000 characters are processed.

This page doesn't save your checkmarks. In the Corvid Craft iPhone app, you can save patterns, keep project notes, and return to your row counters and saved progress.
